This is Kaylee’s story.

What is your role at Modern Psych?

I work at both our Hamilton and Liberty Outpatient locations as a front desk associate. My role involves providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations and a welcoming environment for our clients. My responsibilities include checking clients in and out for their appointments, answering high-volume phone calls, collecting copayments and other payments, managing medical records, and assisting with our intake walk-in hours.

I take pride in being a reliable first point of contact and helping clients feel supported from the moment they arrive.

What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

What inspired me to work in this field is my father. Growing up, I saw the impact his work had on others and how passionate he was about helping people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. I’ve always looked up to him, and his dedication inspired me to follow a similar path. Being part of this field allows me to contribute in my own way and carry forward the values he instilled in me.

What led you to work for the Modern Psych team?

I’ve always had a passion for helping people. Supporting individuals on their journey to healing and recovery is deeply meaningful to me. Mental health and substance abuse care are areas I care about personally, and being part of a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives is both fulfilling and inspiring.

What is the most unique part about working for Modern Psych?

The most unique part of working as a front desk associate here at MPW is the opportunity to build meaningful connections with clients from all walks of life. I’m often the first and last person they see during their visit, and that consistent presence allows me to offer support and encouragement. Being part of their journey, no matter how small my role may seem, is something truly special and unlike any other job I’ve had.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Working as a Support Staff associate, my favorite part of my job is witnessing the growth and progress of our clients. From the moment they walk through our doors, I have the privilege of greeting them and watching their journey unfold. Seeing their confidence build, their healing take shape, and their lives change for the better is incredibly rewarding. It’s a daily reminder of why the work we do matters!
