Our team at Modern Psych and Wellness are always providing extraordinary work for our patients. That’s why for this month, we are excited to spotlight Kris Haynes, who has been an important member of our team since 2018. We sat down with Kris to discuss his role and experience at Modern Psych.
What is Your Role at Modern Psych?
I am the Assistant Housing Manager of the Genesis Program. I’ve been with Modern Psych since March of 2018, so about 4 years. My very good friend CJ Gray recommended Modern Psych to me, and I’m glad he did because now I’m able to help others alongside the Modern Psych team. My role as assistant housing manager is to develop staff who can assist clients in developing skills to maintain long term recovery and engage with clients as they progress through the treatment process.
What is Your Educational and Career Background?
I received Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) license, and I am a State of Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter.
Why Do You Enjoy Working for Modern Psych?
I knew this organization was something special the minute I learned about their mission. One of the biggest reasons why I love this job is that it is changing lives. We help those suffering from mental health, substance use, depression, and anxiety. Being in recovery myself, the opportunity to assist those currently struggling with the same disease I have is incredible. There is nothing better than being a part of their success.
Can you Tell us About Your Hobbies?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife. We enjoy taking our grandchildren to Scene 75 and Get Air.
What is Something that Not Many Know About You?
I am also in recovery and on October 6th, 2022, I will be 11 years clean and sober.
